Renegades Have Time for French
July 30, 2002 - Canadian Football League (CFL) - Ottawa Renegades News Release
Tuesday, July 30, 2002 – (Ottawa, Ontario) In the last 24-hours there has been a misunderstanding in regards to a statement provided by the Ottawa Renegades front office staff in regards to the French content seen and heard at all Renegades home games.
The format of the game-day script and public address announcements will change. This simply means that you will hear both English and French announcements for the entire game.
“We have had a few complaints from the CFL and the visiting teams in regards to the length of our announcements, so we ha to make a change but at no time was the French language deleted from our gameday programming. We have always incorporated a French audience into our fan base, through advertising and our marketing campaign” said Brad Watters, President of the Renegades football club.
