April 16, 2018 - National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) - Seattle Reign FC News Release

SEATTLE - To celebrate Seattle's two professional women's teams, Seattle Reign FC and the Seattle Storm have announced a two-part 'Reign Storm Night' - one game at each of the teams' home venues.

On July 1 at KeyArena, the first 3,000 fans will have a chance to receive a Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe poster. Reign FC players will be on the concourse to sign autographs pregame before the Storm take on the Connecticut Sun at 4:00 p.m. PT.

On July 7 at the UW Medicine Pitch at Memorial Stadium, Storm players will be cheering for Reign FC as they face off against the Houston Dash at 7:00 p.m. PT. The first 3,000 fans through the gates at the UW Medicine Pitch at Memorial Stadium will receive the Bird and Rapinoe poster, and Storm players will be signing autographs during the game.

On the hardwood, the Storm is under a new direction under head coach Dan Hughes, and the team has high expectations with the return of its 'big three' of Bird, Breanna Stewart, and Jewell Loyd. The two-time WNBA champion (2004, 2010) Storm made the playoffs the last two seasons. The Seattle Storm tip off the 2018 campaign on May 20 vs. Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury at 6:00 p.m. PT.

Reign FC is off to a 2-0-0 start for the first time since its NWSL Shield-winning 2014 season. Rapinoe was named the NWSL Player of the Month in March, with two goals and one assist in Seattle's two matches. Seattle is in the midst of a streak of four matches on the road, the second of which will be played this Wednesday, April 18 at 4:00 p.m. PT against the league-leading North Carolina Courage. Reign FC will return home on Saturday, May 12 for a 7:00 p.m. PT match against Sky Blue FC.

Tickets to the Reign Storm match hosted by the Reign are available at or by phone at (855) REIGN-FC, while fans seeking Storm tickets can secure the best seats in the house with Storm 360 Memberships, available now, starting at $180, available online or by calling (206) 217-WNBA (9622).
