GAME NOTES:

-THE LEAD: RHP Liam Hendriks tossed eight shutout innings as the Red Wings blanked the Bats for a second straight game, 7-0, Monday night at Frontier Field... The Wings, who improved to 22-5 at Frontier Field since June 13 and 31-10 at home since May 16, have not allowed a run since the 3rd inning on Saturday -- a span of 24 innings. The Red Wings maintained their 2.0-game lead over Pawtucket in the IL North after the Paw Sox shutout Buffalo, 3-0... The Bats lost their 12th straight game -- setting a new franchise record.

-The Wings turned in their 10th shutout of the season and third in the last nine days... The last back-to-back shutouts by the Red Wings pitching staff was July 7-8, 2012 vs Lehigh Valley -- part of a 19-inning scoreless streak... The Wings haven't allowed an extra-base hit since Denis Phipps' double in the third inning on Saturday and a runner hasn't reached third base against the Wings since the 7th inning on Saturday.

-The Wings have won their fourth series against Louisville in their last five meetings and are now 16-7 vs the Bats since the beginning of the 2011 season -- including winning 8 of their last 11 vs LOU at Frontier Field.

-Chris Parmelee's (1-3; HR, 2R, 2RBI) first inning homer snapped a 4-for-44 slump over his last 12 games... The two-run shot was Parmelee's third with the Red Wings and first since July 28 off Norfolk's Mike Belfiore -- a span of 93 plate appearances.

-Darin Mastroianni (1-3; R, BB, HBP) has now reached base in 15 of his last 24 plate appearances since being optioned to Rochester on August 15... In four rehab games with the Wings, Mastroianni was 0-for-14.

-Josmil Pinto (2-4; HR, 2B, 2R, RBI) hit his first career Triple-A home run in the 5th inning off starter Chad Rogers -- a solo shot that landed over the bullpens in left field... Pinto had been in a 1-for-18 slump over his last five games.

-Chris Colabello (2-4; R) extended his hit streak to 10 games with the Red Wings and his home on-base streak to 28 games at Frontier Field... It is Colabello's 2nd 10-plus game hit streak this season... He also had a team-high 16-game hit streak from 5/9-6/5 over which he hit .458.

-Antoan Richardson (1-4; 2B, RBI) returned to the Wings lineup for the first time since spraining his left ankle on July 30. He came off the DL on Sunday after missing 14 games.

-Prior to the game, RHP Kyle Gibson was optioned back to Rochester after going 2-4, 6.53 ERA (51.0 IP, 37 ER) in 10 GS with 20 walks and 29 strikeouts with Minnesota... With the Wings, Gibson went 7-5, 3.01 ERA in 15 starts.
