IDAHO FALLS - After taking the first two games on the road, the Ogden Raptors (6-9) dropped the third game of the series 16-4 to the Idaho Falls Chukars (5-10).
Ogden scored the first two runs of the game in the top of the first inning on Michael Medina's RBI double and Nick Dean's RBI single.
But the Chukars scored the next 16 runs, beginning with three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Idaho Falls' big innings came in the sixth and seventh when they scored ten combined runs, capped by Alexis Rivera's grand slam with two outs in the seventh. Rivera leads the Pioneer League with seven home runs and 24 runs batted in.
Medina led the Raptors offensively going 3-for-4 from the plate. Dean and Nick Sell each had two hits a piece and those three players accounted for all three runs batted in for Ogden.
The series concludes tomorrow at 7:15pm MT. Ivan Vieitez will make his first start of the season against Eric Stout.
