May 11, 2017 - Canadian Football League (CFL) - Montreal Alouettes News Release

Montreal, May 10, 2017 - The Montreal Alouettes, in collaboration with Opéra de Montréal and the Société de la Place des Arts, will host their annual blood drive presented by BMO on Monday, May 15, between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Place des Arts' salon Urbain. Alouettes players along with Head Coach Jacques Chapdelaine, General Manager Kavis Reed, alumni and cheerleaders will all be on-hand to meet the generous donors and sign autographs.

As the Alouettes were invited to host this blood drive edition on the Opéra de Montréal's turf, the organization was keen to return the favour. The event, which is part of the official program of the Montreal's 375th Anniversary, will be held in good weather or bad weather. Activities to democratize the opera will be held prior to the event.

The last performance of one of the most beloved operas of the whole repertoire, La Bohème by Puccini, presented at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, will be broadcast live on five giant screens in Percival-Molson Memorial Stadium. This event is FREE of charge, but tickets must be reserved via the Opéra de Montréal official website: boheme.operademontreal.com. 15,000 tickets are available.
