Rangers Acquire Alexey Lipanov from Sudbury Wolves

The Kitchener Rangers announced today they have acquired centreman, Alexey Lipanov from the Sudbury Wolves.
In exchange, Sudbury will receive Oshawa's 3rd round pick in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection and Kingston's 3rd round pick in 2022.
Entering his second Ontario Hockey League season, Alexey was chosen in the first round of the 2016 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft, 44th overall by the Barrie Colts. In 2016 he was selected in the 3rd round of the National Hockey League Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning, 76th overall.
During the 2017-18 season, Alexey dressed for 55 games with the Colts and Wolves, and recorded 14 goals and 25 assists.

As a 3rd round NHL draft pick, he will add some extra skill and offensive creativity to our team," said Mike McKenzie, General Manager of the Kitchener Rangers.
