Rampage Goaltender Ville Husso Recalled to St. Louis Blues

SAN ANTONIO - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong today announced that the club has recalled goaltender Ville Husso (VIHL-ee, HOO-soh) from the American Hockey League's (AHL) San Antonio Rampage. Additionally, the Rampage have recalled goaltender Sam Brittain from the Colorado Eagles (ECHL).

Husso, 23, has appeared in 34 games with the Rampage this season, posting a 14-11-0 record. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound goaltender shares third in the AHL overall with a .928 save percentage and is tied for sixth with a 2.31 goals-against average. A native of Helsinki, Finland, Husso was originally drafted by the Blues in the fourth round, 94th overall, of the 2014 NHL Draft.

Brittain opened the season with the Colorado Eagles, recording a 3.24 goals-against average and an .895 save percentage in 25 games. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound netminder appeared in one contest with the Rampage on Nov. 22 against the San Jose Barracuda, logging a 4.11 goals-against average and an .862 save percentage.

The Rampage will return to the ice to take on the San Diego Gulls on Tuesday, March 13 at 9 p.m. CT at the Valley View Casino Center.
