Rafaël Harvey-Pinard Named Ultramar Player of the Week

Boucherville, QC - The final Ultramar Player of the Week for 2018-19 is Rouyn-Noranda Huskies winger Rafael Harvey-Pinard. The Jonquiere, Quebec native nabbed the award for the second consecutive week by scoring five times in four games, adding three assists and captaining his club to the 2019 President Cup championship.
On Monday night in Halifax, Harvey-Pinard registered a pair of assists in the first period, including a helper on the penalty kill and one on the game-winning goal, in the Huskies 5-2 triumph over the Mooseheads that gave the squad a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven championship round. For his efforts, the third-year veteran was named the game's second star.
The following night at Scotiabank Center, the Mooseheads would draw even in the series yet again with a 5-1 win. Harvey-Pinard recorded an assist on the lone Huskies tally of the game, extending his playoffs point streak to nine games.
On Thursday night in Rouyn-Noranda, the Huskies took a 3-2 series lead thanks to a 6-3 victory over Halifax. Harvey-Pinard's hat trick, including a pair of empty-netters six seconds apart late in the third frame, would put his team within one win of a league title.
The Huskies would complete their march to the championship on Saturday afternoon in Halifax. Harvey-Pinard's pair of goals would help carry his squad to a 4-0 triumph. Ending the QMJHL postseason on an 11-game point streak, the veteran's biggest thrill came after the contest when he was presented the President Cup, the second time in four years in which the Huskies have laid claim to the trophy.
Harvey-Pinard completed the playoffs with 27 points, including 13 goals, in 20 games. He found himself tied for fifth in the league in both points and assists, fourth in goals and tied for first in powerplay goals.
The captain now prepares to take his Huskies into battle at the 2019 Memorial Cup presented by Kia. Their first game in the tournament occurs on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. AT when they take on the Ontario Hockey League champion Guelph Storm.
