Rancho Cucamonga Quakes News Release

Rancho Cucamonga, CA- Fresh off the All-Star Break, which saw four members of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (OF Brad Coon, SS Hainley Statia, RHP Brok Butcher, and RHP Darren O'Day) play for the California League All-Star squad that prevailed over the Carolina League All-Stars, the hometown nine unpack their bags tomorrow night for a three-game homestand at The Epicenter.

Thursday evening starts a three-game set with the Stockton Ports, the Oakland A's California League club. The Ports finished the first half of the season 35-35, second place in the league's Northern Division. While they weren't able to prevail in the first-half division race, the Ports do come to town with some of the A's top prospects in tow. The Quakes suffered a late first-half slide in Lancaster last weekend that cost them a chance at a first-place finish, but the club does have more wins on their home field than any other California League team, and thus undoubtedly the Ports will have their hands full this weekend at The Epicenter.

Thursday's game starts at 7:05 PM and is Thirsty Thursday sponsored by KCAL-FM. Draft beers will be on sale for $1 through the fifth inning, and fountain sodas will be $1 all game long. Gates open at 6:05 PM.

Friday evening's 7:05 PM start will feature an appearance by national traveling mascot act REGGY. "REGGY" is the biggest, baddest, purplest party dude on the planet! From the moment you walk through the turnstiles until the last play Reggy is there. Kissing, hugging, dancing and creating good-natured havoc wherever he goes. Players, umpires, fans, and staff are all fair game in this fur flying act. There might even be a nine foot air monkey involved! REGGY will perform in between innings and sign autographs all-night long. Friday's REGGY appearance is presented by Charter Communications. Gates open at 6:05 PM.

Saturday evening's game concludes the series with Stockton and is a 7:05 PM start. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Quakes souvenir bandana, and there will be spectacular POST-GAME FIREWORKS!!! Saturday evening's game and related festivities are presented by Macy's. Gates open at 6:05 PM.

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are the Advanced-A California League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Plenty of great seats remain for this homestand as well as all Quakes 2007 home games including the July 3rd Fireworks Spectacular. Purchase tickets by calling the box office at (909) 481-5252.
