It's not often that a team may feel momentum after a loss; however, the Charlottetown Islanders might have momentum on their side heading into tonight's game at the Eastlink Centre against the Moncton Wildcats.

The Islanders (13-23-2-1) played a hard-fought game against the powerhouse Sherbrooke Phoenix on Sunday afternoon, even leading the game for a stretch. Unfortunately, despite a rock-solid 46-save performance from newcomer netminder Jakob Robillard, the Isles fell 4-1 to the Phoenix. Although they lost, it was a performance being heralded for playing at the same level as one of the top contenders in the league.

At the other end of the ice, the Wildcats (21-16-0-2) will also be looking to get back in the win column after back-to-back losses last week. Prior to those losses, they were one of the hottest teams in the QMJHL, having won five straight games. Their last victory came at the expense of the Islanders on January 8th in Moncton.

ROSTER UPDATES

Charlottetown

Forwards Jarrett Todd, Brett Arsenault, and Alexis Michaud will all miss tonight's game with a variety of injuries. Ross Campbell returns to the lineup after serving a two-game suspension.

Moncton

Bathurst is expected to have a fully healthy roster after having no injuries reported ahead of their most recent game against the Halifax Mooseheads.

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

Charlottetown

Jakob Robillard gets a second consecutive start after a sterling 46-save performance against his former team the Sherbrooke Phoenix. This will be Robillard's second start as an Islander after being acquired last week.

Ross Campbellreturns to the lineup following a two-game suspension. Since joining the Islanders full-time on December 30th, the 16-year-old has picked up two assists in five games.

Moncton

Connor Trenholm has been one of the strongest players in the QMJHL since December. The newest Wildcat has a nine-game point streak before not recording a point against Halifax on Sunday afternoon.

Yoan Loshing has been deadly against Charlottetown this season. The speedy forward has six points in four games against the Islanders so far, and is coming off a multi-point effort against Halifax on Sunday.

SERIES AT A GLANCE

In four matchups this season, the Wildcats have three victories over the Islanders this season.
