Frisco, TX - The Frisco Fighters enter week six as the only undefeated team left in the IFL. Before last week's bye week, the Fighters played at home against the Arizona Rattlers and continued to dominate offensively scoring 52 points.
The Fighters are led by head coach Billy Back, who continues to hold the number one spot in the IFL coaches' poll for the sixth week in a row.
PAST MEETUPS - FIGHTERS V GLADIATORS
This will be the sixth meetup for the Frisco Fighters and the Duke City Gladiators, with the last game being April 1, 2023 and resulting in a Fighters win (60-55). The Gladiators are 2-3 falling to the Frisco Fighters (55-60), Arizona Rattlers (37-48), and the Vegas Knight Hawks (26-50).
PLAYERS TO WATCH
A player to watch this week, and most weeks, is quarterback TJ Edwards. Edwards is one touchdown away from leading the league in scoring. Edwards has 15 TDs and averages 19.2 points per game.
Another player to watch this week is defensive back Michael LoVett. LoVett was chosen as defensive player of the week by the IFL following the game against the Rattlers.
Final player to watch this week is Charles Headen. The returning stand out is fifth in the league for returns averaging 23.7 yards/per game and has scored two TDs.
