GAME HIGHLIGHTS: The Delmarva Shorebirds went in order in the top half of the first and the West Virginia Power surged ahead with two runs in the bottom half highlighted by two doubles. Darren Ford led off the inning with a single to right and moved to second on a Quincy Asencion error. Lorenzo Cain blasted a RBI double, and then Angel Salome doubled him in. The Shorebirds took advantage of control problems in the fifth and Asencion hit a sac fly to score Arturo Rivas for the only Shorebird run. In the bottom of the fifth two unearned runs score on two errors in the inning on Delmarva. The game ended after 6 innings and was called due to rain.
