THE WIN:
- Was the 150th regular-season victory in Houston Dynamo history.
- Extended Houston's home unbeaten streak to six consecutive league matches and eight in a row across all competitions.
- Improved Houston's record to 7-6-4 on the season.
- Improved Houston's home record to 6-2-1 on the year.
- Improved Houston's record against Western Conference clubs to 3-4-3 on the year.
- Improved Houston's record against Minnesota United FC to 2-1-2 all-time and 1-1-0 this season.
- Gave Houston a 1-0-1 record in July after going 1-2-0 in June.
- Was Head Coach Wilmer Cabrera's 29th career victory in Major League Soccer.
- Was Cabrera's 20th regular-season win on the Dynamo sidelines.
TEAM NOTES:
- The Dynamo have now scored at least two goals in 22 of their 26 home games under head coach Wilmer Cabrera and have scored three or more in 13 of those 26 contests.
- The Dynamo posted their third clean sheet of the season.
- The Dynamo scored the game's first goal when DF Philippe Senderos hammered home a loose ball in the 36th minute. It was the 10th time this season that Houston scored the opening goal, and Houston improved to 6-2-2 in those contests.
- The Dynamo took a 1-0 lead into halftime. It was the sixth time this season that the team led at intermission, and they improved to 4-1-1 in those games.
- The Dynamo outshot Minnesota 22-5. It marked the 11th game this year in which Houston outshot its opponent, and the team improved to 7-3-1 in those contests.
- The Dynamo controlled possession in the game, holding the ball for 56.9 percent of the match. It was the seventh time this season that the Dynamo had more than 50 percent of the ball, and they improved to 3-1-3 in those contests.
- Houston held Minnesota's attack to five shots during the game. That is the second-fewest shots allowed by the Dynamo defense this season. They held Colorado to two shots in a 2-0 victory on June 9.
- Houston has used 17 different starting lineup combinations in 17 games this season. Head coach Wilmer Cabrera has now used 49 different combinations in 51 games on the Dynamo sideline.

NOTEWORTHY:
- DF Adolfo Machado returned to MLS play after representing Panama in the 2018 World Cup.
- MF Darwin Cerén returned to the Starting XI for the first time since suffering a knee injury on May 11 at Vancouver.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER NOTES:
- GK Joe Willis recorded his 13th clean sheet in MLS regular-season play and his second of the season, making one save in the effort.
- Willis earned his 21st career win as a starter and improved his record this season to 6-4-2.
- Willis made his 12th start of the season and his 69th career MLS regular season start.
- DF Philippe Senderos recorded his first career brace in Major League Soccer, scoring in the 36th and 52nd minutes.
- Senderos became the second Dynamo defender to score two goals in a game and first since Craig Waibel did so on Oct. 14, 2006 vs. Colorado.
- Senderos' four goals on the season are his most in league play during any season of his professional career. He had three goals for Servette in Switzerland during the 2002-03 season.
- With four goals, Senderos has also matched his career high with any club. He also scored four goals while playing for Arsenal from 2003-10.
- Senderos scored his third goal of the season and second in as many games when he put away a loose ball in the penalty area in the 36th minute. It marked the first time in his MLS career that he's scored in back-to-back games.
- Senderos scored his second of the match and fourth of the year when he headed home a corner kick in the 52nd minute.
- Senderos made his seventh MLS regular season start today and his fifth of the season.
- FW Alberth Elis scored his ninth goal of the season when he slotted home a chance in the second minute of stoppage time, moving him into a tie for the team lead along with FW Mauro Manotas. It was also Elis' 20th goal across all competitions, making him the ninth Dynamo player to score 20 or more goals.
- Elis recorded an assist on Houston's opening goal in the 36th minute. It was the first time in his career that he's notched assists in back-to-back games.
- Elis has now recorded a goal or an assist for in 12 of Houston's 17 games this season and has had a goal and an assist in the same game twice this year.
- Elis made his 43rd career appearance and his 35th start.
- FW Romell Quioto registered the 13th and 14th assists of his Dynamo career. He set up DF Philippe Senderos' goal in the 36th minute off a corner kick and did so again in the 52nd minute, again to Senderos off a corner. He moved into a tie for ninth on the club's all-time assist list, passing the career totals of Stuart Holden and Richard Mulrooney (13) and matching that of Giles Barnes (14).
- Quioto now has 10 assists on the season, becoming the fourth player in club history to record double-digit assists in a season. He joins Brad Davis, who did so nine times, Boniek Garcia (2016) and Alex (2017).
- Quioto recorded two assists in a game for the second time this season and first since April 21 vs. Toronto, his first start of the year.
- Quioto has now recorded an assist in three consecutive games for the second time this season, tying a career-long streak.
- Quioto made his 12th start of the season and his 26th career MLS regular season start.
- MF Eric Alexander started his 155th career game and made his 205th career appearance.
- DF DaMarcus Beasley made his 187th MLS regular season start and his 99th league start for the Dynamo.
- MF Darwin Cerén made his ninth start and 11th appearance of the year today. For his career, it was his 76th start and 86th appearance.
- DF Alejandro Fuenmayor made his 11th MLS regular season start today and his 12th appearance of the season.
- MF Boniek GarcÃa made his 15th appearance of the season and the 155th of his career when he came on for MF Eric Alexander in the 72nd minute. It was GarcÃa's 175th career appearance for the club across all competitions.
- DF Adam Lundkvist made his sixth appearance of the year when he came on for DF DaMarcus Beasley at halftime.
- DF Adolfo Machado made his 44th career start today and played in his 11th game of the season.
- MF Tomás MartÃnez made his 20th career start and played in his 25th MLS game.
- FW Mauro Manotas made his 50th career start and played in his 81st career game.
- MF Memo Rodriguez made his 18th career appearance when he came on for FW Romell Quioto in the 80th minute.
