Ports Promote Taylor McCarthy to General Manager

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Ports announced today that Taylor McCarthy has been promoted to General Manager. The announcement came from Team President Pat Filippone.
McCarthy will assume all day-to-day managerial duties of the organization and will oversee all operations of the team including Ticket Sales, Corporate Sales, Marketing, and Community Relations. He will now report directly to Ports President Pat Filippone.
McCarthy will enter into his 6th season in Minor League Baseball and 5th with the Ports this coming Spring. Prior to his time with the Ports, he worked for the Lowell Spinners' (Short A-Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox) Public Relations and Promotions Department and then spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons as the General Manager of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League's Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide.
The Ports' previous General Manager, Bryan Meadows, who served as the team's GM since 2015, has departed the organization to focus on new career opportunities.
"Taylor has earned this promotion through his dedication to the Stockton Ports, our community, and our fans," said President Pat Filippone. "I am excited to work closely with him as we strive to make 2018 the best season in Ports history."
The Stockton Ports' Opening Night is scheduled for Thursday, April 5th vs. the Lake Elsinore Storm. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
