Ports Drop Second Straight to Lancaster
August 20, 2011 - California League (CalL1)
Stockton Ports News Release
The Stockton Ports once again squandered a golden opportunity on Friday night as they dropped their second straight game to the Lancaster JetHawks by a final of 4-2.
Ports starting pitcher Jacob Brown (4-6) had a perfect game going through 4.0 innings before giving up three runs in the fifth, by way of a three-run home run by Erik Castro. Erik Castro went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBI.
The Ports got their two runs in the third inning on back-to-back home runs from Michael Gilmartin and Anthony Aliotti off JetHawks starter Robby Donovan (4-13). Donovan would still earn the win despite the two home runs, and Kirk Clark earned his 19th save of the season.
The Ports look to earn their first victory of the series tomorrow night as righty Rob Gilliam takes the mound at 7:05 p.m.
