Charleston Dirty Birds News Release

Charleston, WV (November 27, 2006) - The PlayStation 3 was released across the United States to much fanfare but little supply two Fridays ago. Only 400,000 PlayStation 3 units were released across the country and the West Virginia Power is giving one of those away! One gamer will win this PlayStation 3 through a special PS2 Madden football tournament held at the Power Alley Grill.

The tournament will include 128 participants with four 32 person brackets. Each bracket, the Senator, Charlies, Alley Cats, and Power divisions, will be played over the course of one day. Beginning with the Senator division on Saturday, December 2, the tournament will continue on Sunday the 3rd and divisional play will wrap up on the weekend of December 9th and 10th. Play will begin each day at 11:00am at the Power Alley Grill and will continue until a final four from each division is determined. Two PS2 systems will be used for the tournament and each game is limited to three minute quarters. A Sweet Sixteen Championship Round will begin at the Power Alley Grill on Saturday, December 16 at 11:00am to determine the winner of the PlayStation 3.

Gamers can register at the Power Alley Grill in person or over the phone at 720-7640. An entry fee of $10.00 is required upon registration to enter the contest. The contest is open to the first 128 participants, but if a participant is eliminated from one bracket, they may sign up for another bracket if space is still available. The Power Alley Grill, located at the corner of Morris and Lewis Street, will have all details, rules, and brackets for the event. Rules, regulations, brackets, and additional information will also be available online at wvpower.com.

Rules for the tournament include, but are not limited to:

- Brackets will be filled on a first-come first serve basis

- Once a participant is eliminated, the participant may register for available openings in remaining brackets

- All brackets will be completed on the day in which they are started

- Every effort will be made to maintain the scheduled game times, though delays may occur

- Participants not present at the start of their contest will have 5 minutes to begin play or their game is forfeited
