Players-First BIG3 Predicted Kawhi Leonard to Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin Durant to Brooklyn Nets

July 2, 2019 - BIG3 (BIG3) News Release

BIG3 basketball made the top headline Sunday night breaking the news that Kawhi Leonard will join the Los Angeles Lakers to team up with fellow NBA superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

While it might have been logical to think that the BIG3 would play second fiddle to 2019 NBA free agency Sunday night in Philadelphia, the opposite occurred.

Ghost Baller co-captain Ricky Davis dropped an Adrian Wojnarowski sized bomb on the basketball world breaking the biggest free agency news since Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder to sign with the Golden State Warriors.

Davis, who played with James in Cleveland, might have had the insider knowledge on the Lakers situation that no other reporter could gain access to.

However, this isn't the first time the BIG3 dropped hints on where future NBA superstars were headed.

BIG3 co-founder and owner Jeff Kwatinetz predicted that Kevin Durant would spurn the New York Knicks and sign with the Brooklyn Nets in May. Moments into free agency, the BIG3 was correct as Durant announced his decision to sign with Brooklyn and team up with NBA-champion guard Kyrie Irving.

The BIG3's track record is beginning to grow. And that shouldn't come as any surprise. The league is full of NBA vets and former NBA All-Stars who have been around the league and know it inside out. Players know players and the BIG3's foundation is built to give a platform to former NBA players and legends.

As such, there should be no surprise to see the BIG3 have the inside track on Kawhi Leonard to the Los Angeles Lakers in addition to Kevin Durant joining the Brooklyn Nets.
