March 9, 2011 - Florida State League (FSL1)
Bradenton Marauders News Release
BRADENTON, FL - The Pittsburgh Pirates are just a day away from hosting their lone night game extravaganza of the 2011 Spring Training season. The Pirates host the Orioles Thursday night at 7:05 at McKechnie Field in what promises to be an exciting event.
Gates open at 5:00 and tickets start as low as just $10. The only fireworks show of Spring Training follows the final out. Fireworks are presented by Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, DOS Imaging and Clear Channel.
Thursday is also designated as the annual Bright House Networks Day. Representatives from Bright House Networks will be on site raffling away prizes including an iPad, leather sofa from Furniture Warehouse, Manatee Players tickets, Asolo Theatre tickets and a batboy or batgirl opportunity for 2012 Spring Training.
Ticket sales will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Manatee County in an effort to "Fill the Seats For Kids." Three dollars from each ticket sold will be donated to the Boys and Girls club.
There are only nine Spring Training games left at McKechnie Field in 2011. Following Thursday's night game the Pirates have premium home games against the Phillies and Red Sox Saturday and Sunday. It's the final Philadelphia appearance at McKechnie Field and the first of two for Boston this spring. For ticketing information visit Pirates.com, BradentonMarauders.com or call (941) 747-3031.
