Pioneers Make Donation Pledge to Friends of Dunn Field

June 16, 2011 - Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) - Elmira Pioneers News Release

If the Elmira Pioneers win the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League championship, it is going to cost them. Pios General Manger Jeff Kunion has pledged a donation to the Friends of Dunn Field of $1.00 for every single, $2.00 for every double, $3.00 for every triple and $4.00 for every homerun hit by the Pioneers. He will double the donation if the Pioneers win the PGCBL championship.

"I wanted to make a contribution to help maintain Dunn Field that was connected with how well the team performed. I think I knocked one out of the park. Guess that's another few bucks I should put into the kitty." said Kunion. "I hope other Pioneers fans make similar pledges based on team pitching statistics or their favorite player."

The Friends of Dunn Field, Inc. is an IRS certified 501(c)3 charity established by the Pioneers solely for the purpose of repairing and renovating Dunn Field. On August 1st the Pioneers will sponsor Friends of Dunn Field Night with raffles and auctions of vacations, large screen TV's shopping certificates and more.

The Pioneers next homestand begins Saturday, June 18 with a doubleheader versus the Newark Pilots. Spectacular Saturday giveaways include an HD TV, a DVD player, an MP3 player, restaurant gift certificates and more.The Party in the Park Concert series presents the classic rock band Inward.
