Petes Find Revenge on Frontenacs

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes exacted revenge on the Kingston Frontenacs with a 6-3 home ice win on Sunday afternoon.
It was all Petes in the opening period of the game. Bobby Dow notched his fourth of the season at 5:06 to open scoring. Nick Robertson followed up on the power play at 15:03 with his fourth goal of the campaign to make it 2-0 for Peterborough after the first 20 minutes. Shots were event at 10 apiece.
Matyas Svoboda continued Peterborough's scoring streak at 3:06. The Frontenacs registered their first of the night before Nikita Korostelev found the board on the power play at 13:31. Jonathan Ang closed out the stanza with his eleventh at 19:40. The Petes led the shot clock 28-21 through 40 minutes.
Ang's second goal of the night, at 5:39, was sandwiched by two Kingston goals, making it a 6-3 final score for the maroon and white. Final shots were 40-35 in favour of the Frontenacs.
Ang and Matt Timms tallied two assists on the night, while Korostelev, Alex Black, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Declan Chisholm, and John Parker-Jones earned single helpers.
The Petes were 2 for 4 on the power play, and a perfect 6 for 6 on the penalty kill. Dylan Wells turned away 37 of 40 shots.
The Petes are now tied for first in the East Division, and are third in the Eastern Conference.
The Petes will visit the Hamilton Bulldogs on Wednesday, November 15 at 10:30am before returning home to host the rival Oshawa Generals on Thursday, November 16 at 7:05pm. Game tickets are available starting at $8 through the Collins Barrow PMC Box Office, online or, by phone at (705) 743-3561.
