Pacific Host HFX Wanderers FC in the Coastal Clash

Pacific Football Club (4-7-3) host HFX Wanderers FC (2-6-6) this Wednesday, October 2nd at Westhills Stadium in Langford. Kickoff in the game is set for 7:00 p.m. PDT, gates open at 5:00 pm.

Pacific return home following a tough road trip versus the CPL finalists, Cavalry FC and Forge FC. The Island contingent suffered a 4-1 loss to the Spring Champs followed by a 3-0 loss in Hamilton to Forge FC. With four games left in the season, Pacific look to seal a third place finish to set a foundation for the 2020 season.

The West Coast side will be eyeing to bounce back with three points against their Coastal counterparts.

"After two tough games on the road we're excited to be back at home in front of our fans at Westhills," stated midfielder Ben Fisk. "HFX are a team with lots to prove still and we're looking forward to tough back-to-back matches with them.

"Third place is the goal now and we're feeling confident about finishing the season on a high."

HFX Wanderers FC led by head coach Stephen Hart currently sit in seventh place. Following a fourth place Spring finish, the Wanderers have struggled in the Fall season as they sit at the bottom of the table.

On Wednesday, HFX Wanderers FC look to grab three points ahead of next week's matchup between the two in Halifax a week from Wednesday. The Coastal Clash sees the two sides travel over 4,476 kilometers on one leg of the trip.

October 2nd is a key game for Pacific FC as three points could give the tridents a chance for third place. Meanwhile, HFX Wanderers FC will be eyeing three points on Wednesday to go level with FC Edmonton in sixth.
