Erie Otters News Release
The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League announced this afternoon that they have acquired Andrew Yogan and a second round pick in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for Brandon Maxwell.
Yogan was in his second season with the Spitfires and had five goals and three assists for eight points in 16 games this season. The 6-foot-3, 202-pound forward, who was chosen by the Spitfires in the fifth round (91st overall) of the 2007 OHL Priority Selection, has totaled 10 goals and five assists for 15 points in 66 OHL games.
The 16 year-old forward is scheduled to arrive in Erie today but will not suit up for tonight's game against the Peterborough Petes at 7 p.m. at the Tullio Arena. He is scheduled to make his Otters debut against his former team on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Tullio Arena.
Maxwell was a second round pick (27th overall) by the Otters in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection. The 17 year-old goaltender never reported to the Otters, choosing instead to play for the US National Development Program.
