QUAKES' LATE HEROICS BRINGING BACK THOUGHTS OF GOONIES

Do the Goonies live again? The San Jose Earthquakes once again showed their penchant for late-game heroics, getting a stoppage-time game-winner from Jackson Yueill for a dramatic 2-1 win against Los Angeles Football Club last Sunday evening at Banc of California Stadium.

From those 12 games, the Quakes have gained 20 points (either one point from a game-tying goal, or two points from a game-winning goal), the most in MLS over that span.

The Quakes have done it three times already this season - the most of any team in MLS - coming back for a 2-2 draw in added time Feb. 29 vs. Toronto FC, then gaining stoppage-time victories July 15 vs. Vancouver during the MLS is Back Tournament, and vs. LAFC last weekend.
