Orlando City B Returns Home to Face Chattanooga in Quick Turnaround

October 9, 2020 - United Soccer League One (USL1) - Orlando City B News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City B will return to Osceola County Stadium on Saturday afternoon, hosting Chattanooga Red Wolves FC in a 3 p.m. ET kickoff. The match, which is closed to fans, will be streamed live on ESPN+ at the link here.

The Lions head into Saturday's game looking to snap its winless streak, as the Club returns home for the first time since September 26. Orlando enters the match off a 2-1 loss at second place Richmond Kickers on Wednesday. The home side held a two goal lead for most of the match, with goals in the 27th and 43rd minutes, but Orlando pulled one back in second half stoppage time to end the shutout bid. The goal came from the foot of 16-year-old Wilfredo Rivera, who leads the young Lions side with three goals on the year.

Jonathan Rosales earned an assist on Rivera's goal, his first of the year. Moises Tablante, who will miss Saturday's match after picking up two yellow cards on Wednesday, leads the Lions with three assists on the year.

The Red Wolves also played on Wednesday, falling in their own match by a 3-1 scoreline against North Texas. Chattanooga jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute after Greg Hurst netted from the penalty spot. But North Texas scored three unanswered goals, including a penalty of their own, to take all three points.

Hurst leads his side with six goals, good for third in the league, while Mark Hernandez, Charlie Dennis and Azaad Liadi all have three assists on the year.

Following Saturday's match, Orlando City B will head to Tucson to play its final road match of the 2020 season. The Lions will kickoff at 10:30 p.m. ET on October 17 at Kino North Stadium.
