March 31, 2020 - Western Hockey League (WHL) - Portland Winterhawks News Release

In lieu of the Portland Winterhawks winning the 2019-20 Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy, the Hawks will spend the spring reviewing some of their most memorable playoff moments over the years. From historic goals to future NHL stars and championship-winning teams, re-live some of Portland's iconic nights in the postseason.

March 31, 2010: Ty Rattie scored his first career WHL playoff goal in overtime of Game 7 against the Spokane Chiefs to win the series for Portland 4-games-to-3. The Winterhawks rookie tallied 17 goals during the regular season and arguably none were bigger than his overtime-winning goal in the opening round of the 2010 WHL Playoffs.

Rattie would go on to compete in the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 WHL Playoffs and he finished his Winterhawks career as the team leader in playoff goals (50) and points (95).

In the game in which he scored his first of 50, the Winterhawks erased a 3-0 deficit on the road and scored five of the last six goals to help them advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.
