Omaha Beef Travels to Oklahoma for the First of Three Straight Road Games

May 3, 2019 - Champions Indoor Football (CIF)
Omaha Beef News Release

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Beef (3-1) go on the road to play the Oklahoma Flying Aces (0-4) Saturday at 7pm, the first of a three-game road trip for the Beef. These two teams played week one with Omaha winning 59-55.

The Beef are on a two-game winning streak and are coming off a big home win against the Texas Revolution, giving Texas their first loss of the season. The Beef are currently holding 1st place in the CIF Norther Division. In the first matchup with Oklahoma, Antonio Bray led the way with four rushing touchdowns. Running the ball is essential to the Beef offense. They lead the CIF in team rushing with 560-yards. Antonio Bray is second in yards per game (75.8) and tied for first in touchdowns (11). Now with Derrick Bernard added into the offense, Omaha has become more dynamic running the ball. It showed last week with Bernard having a team high 93-yards rushing.

Oklahoma is last in the CIF stopping the run (80.8-yards per game), and have struggled all season. In the first meeting, Omaha was able to pile up 202-yards rushing. Oklahoma has been outscored 132-40 in the past two games, but Omaha can't take the Flying Aces lightly. They have already played the Beef tough and in their only home loss, Oklahoma kept the game close into the fourth quarter, before they lost by 10. Look for the Flying Aces to rally behind their crowd and give the Beef everything they can handle.

With the Beef on the road, fans can catch all the action at the Official Road Game Watch Party that will take place Saturday night at 7pm at Ozzy's Roadhouse, located at 12744 Westport Pkwy in La Vista, behind Cabela's in the Westport Plaza. All Omaha Beef games are also livestreamed on PlutoTV and you can catch the action for free by downloading the PlutoTV app or heading to plutotv.com.
