Oklahoma City Blue Acquires Tyler Cook
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Blue has acquired forward Tyler Cook, a 2020 first-round draft pick and a 2020 second-round draft pick from the Canton Charge in exchange for forward Vincent Edwards and two 2020 first-round draft picks, the team announced today.
Cook (6-8, 250) has appeared in 22 games (10 starts) this season and averaged 13.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists, while shooting 59.1 percent from the field in 22.2 minutes per game. He also appeared in 11 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this season and averaged 1.7 points in 3.2 minutes per game.
The Iowa product spent three seasons with the Hawkeyes and appeared in 93 games (92 starts) and averaged 14.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 28.0 minutes per game. He earned a second-team All-Big Ten selection as a junior and finished his career as one of nine players in program history to total more than 1,300 points and 600 rebounds.
Edwards appeared in 29 games (13 starts) with Oklahoma City this season and averaged 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 25.9 minutes per game.
