
Oil Kings Announce New Staff Members
February 24, 2021 - Western Hockey League (WHL) - Edmonton Oil Kings News Release
Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings have made three new hires ahead of the 2020-2021 WHL season, the team announced today.
Shaun Mahe joins the team as their new Video Coach and Hockey Operations Coordinator in charge of breaking down all game and practice film for the coaching staff and players. Over the past eight years the Sherwood Park, Alberta native has served in several different roles within Oilers Entertainment Group, most recently as a Player Development Coordinator where he primarily oversaw providing statistical analysis to the Bakersfield Condors (AHL). Prior to that role he was a Player Development Video Intern with OEG.
Andrew Peard has joined the Oil Kings in a Hockey Broadcasting and Media role where he will oversee handling all media and scout requests for Oil Kings players and staff, providing content for the team website and handling the play-by-play duties for Oil Kings broadcasts. Prior to joining the team, the Calgary, Alberta native worked with TSN 1260 over the past two seasons on Edmonton Oil Kings broadcasts and before that worked four years in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Whitecourt Wolverines as their Manager of Communications and Broadcasting.
Erin Klatt joins the team in a Gameday Operations role where she will assist with all off-ice gameday activities and preparation. Erin, an Edmonton, Alberta product, has been with OEG for two years working as a Hockey Engagement Coordinator primarily focusing on youth hockey partnerships and the Edmonton Oilers Alumni Association.
