Oil Kings Acquire Leslie

October 30, 2017 - Western Hockey League (WHL) - Edmonton Oil Kings News Release

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oil Kings have acquired defenceman Jantzen Leslie from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for a conditional 8th round pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft. Leslie was selected in the 1st round (15th overall) in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft by the Everett Silvertips.

Leslie has appeared in four games this season with the Saskatoon Blades. In his career, Leslie has appeared in 82 WHL games and has five assists.

"Recently, with our numbers getting lower on defence and with Matthew Robertson heading off to participate in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge with Hockey Canada, this allowed us to acquire some depth along with giving Jantzen a fresh start," said Edmonton Oil Kings General Manager Randy Hansch.
