
OHL Announces Disciplinary Action

Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of its review of an incident which occurred at a game played in Peterborough on Thursday, January 22nd, 2004 between the Peterborough Petes and the visiting Belleville Bulls involving player Greg Stewart of the Peterborough Petes Hockey Club.
"The League is of the opinion that during a fight with an opposing Belleville player, player Greg Stewart applied excessive force to the opposing player while such player was in a disadvantaged position", OHL Commissioner, David Branch stated in making his announcement as a result of the review.
"We are of the opinion that Stewart's actions have no place in our game and we must all work to eliminate these type of actions from our game.
"It is the position of the Ontario Hockey League that player Greg Stewart of the Peterborough Petes Hockey Club be suspended for 10 games effective immediately."
