Official World TeamTennis Statement Regarding the Coronavirus and the 2020 Season
April 6, 2020 - World TeamTennis (WTT) News Release
We continue to monitor the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) closely as it continues to have a profound impact on the world, including upcoming sporting events like ours.
We remain hopeful that the 2020 World TeamTennis season will begin on July 12, as originally scheduled, and it is our hope that we will be bringing marquee team tennis to our nine WTT cities, as well as Las Vegas' Orleans Arena for the WTT Playoffs on August 1-2.
Keeping our players, fans, and staff safe is at the forefront of our decision-making. WTT will continue to heed the recommendations by the CDC, WHO and United States government - which includes adhering to our federal government's current stay-at-home order through April 30 - and will post another update no later than the first week of May as new information becomes available.
