OCSC Acquires USMNT U20 Ian Hoffmann on Loan from Houston Dynamo FC

Orange County SC announced that midfielder Ian Hoffmann will join the club on loan from MLS side Houston Dynamo FC for the remainder of the season, pending league and federation approval. Hoffmann, 20, appeared in six matches for Houston during the 2021 MLS season. The Wilton, CT native spent the 2022 season competing for Houston Dynamo 2 in MLS Next Pro. His professional debut came with Houston's former USL Championship affiliate Rio Grande Valley FC Toros in the shortened 2020 season.

Hoffmann joined Houston Dynamo's setup after spending his pre-professional days in Germany within 2. Bundesliga side Karlsruher SC's academy system. He previously competed for Bundesliga side 1. FC Köln and MLS side New York Red Bulls. In international competition, Hoffmann was called up to the US Men's National Team U16, U18 and U20 squads. He also represented Germany at the U17 and U18 levels.
