NTDP to Host the University of Minnesota this Weekend
PLYMOUTH, Mich. - The U.S. National Under-18 Team will host the University of Minnesota, ranked sixth by the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine College Hockey Poll, this Saturday (Oct. 13) at 2 p.m. at USA Hockey Arena in the first home game of the 2018-19 NTDP College Series.
Coming off a 4-1 victory Sunday (Oct. 7) against the third-ranked University of Notre Dame, the U18s are now 1-1-0 (W-L-T) in collegiate play.
The U18s will play in the NTDP's eighth all-time matchup against the Gophers, with a 1-5-1-0 (W-L-T-OTL) overall NTDP record. A total of 29 National Team Development Program players have gone on to play at the University Minnesota, including current Gopher sophomore forward Scott Reedy, who played with the NTDP from 2015-17. University of Minnesota head coach Bob Motzko also holds numerous ties with USA Hockey, coaching several NTDP Alumni on Team USA in the 2017 and 2018 IIHF World Junior Championships.
NOTES: All fans will receive a commemorative team poster and can stick around following the game Saturday for a post-game autograph session with the entire team ...
