November 1, 2022 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Maine Nordiques News Release

The Nords took on the Northeast Generals on Tuesday October 25th in Attleboro for a 1:30pm puck drop, before heading to Danbury Connecticut on the weekend.

The first period started with something the Nordiques had to do, and that was kill a penalty. The Nordiques were able to do that and got some momentum that Kellen Murphy was able to turn into a goal for his fourth goal in eight games this season. The Nordiques would go to the power play, but come up empty handed, 1-0 Nords after one period.

The second period saw some 4 -on-4 action with tempers flaring as both teams are very familiar with each other, as this was the fifth matchup this season. The Nords have played half their games this season against them thus far. The Nordiques would get a power play to close out the period and surrender a shorthanded goal. The Nordiques got another chance on the power play, this time with a conversion by Evan Orloff who would net his first of the season to give his team the 2-1 lead after two periods.

The third period started with another Nordiques power play. Overall in the game the Nords man advantage went 2/10. Jonny Meiers scored to give the Nordiques some breathing room. The Nordiques got stellar goaltending by Kael DePape, finishing with 38/39 between the pipes. Laurent Trepiener sealed the deal with and empty netter, Filip Wiberg added one more for good measure, this time with a goaltender in net. The Nords would record their first back-to-back win of the season with a 5-1 victory.

They will hit the road on Friday and Saturday to take on the Hat Tricks in Danbury for two 3pm starts looking to build on their two game win streak.
