Tulsa Oilers News Release

Even former National Hockey League players are now lining up for the Tulsa Oilers alumni game.

Former Oiler players Craig Coxe, Larry Hopkins-who both played in the NHL-as well as Sylvain Naud, and others have now added their names of list of players who will play in the game on Saturday August 23^rd at 7 p.m. at the Oilers Ice Center, located at 64^th and Mingo. Coxe is noted for scoring the first regular season goal for the San Jose Sharks, as well as his years of tough physical play.

"We've been contacting players, and as word has spread, they have been some of our best recruiters," Oilers general manager Taylor Hall (who is also a former Oiler player and will play in the game) said."We're seeing a lot of enthusiasm for this game from our fans and the players. It's kind of hard to tell who's more excited, the fans about seeing the old players, or the players about coming back and getting together with everyone."

Tickets for the alumni evening are $10 for Oiler season ticket holders and $15 dollars for non season ticket holders. The ticket includes admission to the game and a post game party with the players where fans will be able mingle, take pictures and get autographs.

Oiler alumni tickets are available at the team's administrative office located at 9128 East 46^th Street (off 46^th and Memorial between Memorial and Mingo) in the Spirit Bank building.

The Oilers will play their first home game in the BOK Center, on Saturday October 25^th , against the arch rival Oklahoma City Blazers. Season tickets for the Oilers 2008-09 season in the new BOK Center are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825).
