Yesterday (Wednesday) Former Miracle Left-hander Brad Thomas was traded to the Boston Red Sox for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Thomas, 26, who threw a No-Hitter for the Miracle on July 12th, 1999. (vs. Port Charlotte Rangers) first reached the Majors in 2001. A native of Australia, Thomas was a familiar face at Hammond Stadium. The player to be named later will likely be a non-roster player from Boston's minor league organization.
In other Former-Miracle Notes
Two Former Miracle Players OF Michael Restovich and 1B Justin Morneau belted home runs but Triple-A Rochester was a 14-4 loser Wednesday afternoon to Pawtucket (Red Sox). To date, Restovich has four homers and nine RBIs this season. Morneau is batting .433 with five homers and 15 RBIs.
