New York Liberty Announces Single-Game Tickets for 2018 Season Now on Sale

New York Liberty News Release

NEW YORK, NY - The New York Liberty announced today that single-game tickets for its 2018 WNBA season are now on sale. Tickets, starting at $18, can be purchased at the Westchester County Center Box Office, at NYLiberty.com, all Ticketmaster outlets and Ticketmaster.com/NYLiberty.

The Liberty's 2018 home opener at Westchester County Center will come against the defending WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx on Friday, May 25, at 7:30 p.m. The season officially tips off on Sunday, May 20, as New York faces the Chicago Sky at Wintrust Arena at 7 p.m. (ET).

The Liberty will play 15 of their 17 home games at Westchester County Center while School Day (Tuesday, June 5 vs. Phoenix at 11 a.m.) and Camp Day (Monday, August 6 vs. Seattle at 11 a.m.) will be played at Madison Square Garden.

Season ticket packages and New York Liberty Pick 4 ticket plans are also on sale now. With the Pick 4 partial season ticket package, fans select a minimum of four games at Westchester County Center and enjoy savings from single-game prices in addition to priority status for WNBA Playoffs tickets.

The Liberty has enjoyed one of the most successful three-year stretches in franchise history, eclipsing 20 wins in each season and posting the best record in the WNBA's Eastern Conference. Last year, New York finished with a 22-12 overall record, the 2nd-highest single-season win total in franchise history, and ended the regular season on a 10-game winning streak, matching the most consecutive regular season wins in team history, a record the Liberty will attempt to break in the season opener at Chicago.

Katie Smith takes over the reigns as head coach of the Liberty in 2018 after serving the previous four seasons as an assistant coach, the last two of which she was Associate Head Coach. Smith, who will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in June, retired in 2013, finishing her 17-year playing career as the all-time leading scorer in women's professional basketball and second in WNBA history, scoring 7,885-career points as a professional and 6,452 in the WNBA.

Since Smith joined the coaching staff, the Liberty has posted an overall record of 81-55 (.596), posting 3-straight 20-win seasons and WNBA Playoffs berths from 2015-17.
