New Orleans Pelicans Recall Kenrich Williams

NEW ORLEANS, LA - Rookie forward Kenrich Williams has been recalled from the Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, to the New Orleans Pelicans pursuant to the flexible assignment system.

During his two-game stint for Westchester this past week, Williams was the Knicks' third-leading scorer averaging 14.5 points per game on 54.2-percent shooting. The forward also averaged a double-double corralling 14.5 boards per game. Williams also totaled four steals, three rejections, drained one triple and committed just one turnover in over 58 minutes played.

Prior to his assignment to Westchester, Williams appeared in five games for New Orleans, averaging 1.0 points and 1.0 rebounds.

As a product of Texas Christian University (TCU), Williams was recognized on the USBWA All-District VII, NABC All-District 8 Second Team, All-Big 12 Second Team, AP All-Big 12 Second Team, Emerald Coast Classic Most Outstanding Player, Preseason All-Big 12 Honorable Mention, NIT Most Outstanding Player and All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. As a senior, he averaged 9.3 rebounds, the second-most in the Big 12 and 34th-most in the NCAA. He also led TCU in rebounding for the third time in his career, joining Gary Turner as the only TCU players to lead his team in rebounding for three seasons.

New Orleans Pelicans guard Trevon Bluiett is also with Westchester pursuant to the flexible assignment system.

The Knicks end their five-game homestand tomorrow, against the Windy City Bulls. The action starts at 7 PM.
