FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution have signed goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. as a free agent. Entering his seventh MLS season in 2021, Edwards arrives in New England following two years with D.C. United and four prior seasons with Orlando City SC.

Edwards, 28, owns more than 50 career games played across all competitions in MLS and the USL Championship. He spent the last two seasons with D.C. He made six MLS appearances in league play for Orlando, and six additional starts in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The San Diego, Calif. native was named to the USL Championship's All-League Second Team in 2017 after submitting nine shutouts in 23 appearances for Orlando City B.

Edwards played collegiately at UCLA, where he recorded 19 shutouts in 61 appearances. A team captain for three years, he earned back-to-back First-Team All-Pac-12 honors in 2013 and 2014, as well as Second-Team All American and First-Team NSCAA All-Far West selections in 2013.
