Naturals Welcomes Jerry Springer to Arkansas

Springdale, AR - On August 10, 2012, nationally syndicated talk show host Jerry Springer, the former Cincinnati, Ohio Mayor and news anchor, will be visiting Northwest Arkansas. Mr. Springer will be The Arkansas CW's celebrity guest at the Northwest Arkansas Naturals' baseball game in Springdale. Springer's popular syndicated program, "The Jerry Springer Show," airs weekdays at Noon on The Arkansas CW.

Jerry Springer will throw out the first pitch, sign autographs for fans before the game starts and lead the 7th Inning Stretch with its traditional playing of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." Springer will also deliver the countdown for the Arkansas CW Friday Night Fireworks live from the field following the game.

"Jerry Springer's show joined the Arkansas CW in 2010 and has quickly grown to be one of the anchors of our daytime line-up," said Arkansas CW President and General Manager, Brian Sather. "I'm delighted fans of the show will be able to meet Jerry in person on August 10th," added Sather.

"We are thrilled to welcome perhaps the nation's best known talk show host, Jerry Springer, to Arvest Ballpark," said Northwest Arkansas Naturals' General Manager Eric Edelstein. "His colorful career has made him as well-known as any talk show host in history, and we are so excited for our fans to have the opportunity to meet him, added Edelstein."

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale.
