Muskegon Lumberjacks Announce Partnership with Jr. Jacks
MUSKEGON, MI - The Muskegon Lumberjacks today announced a new partnership with the Jr. Jacks youth hockey organization which will ensure that the Jacks and youth hockey in Muskegon will be stronger than ever. "Our commitment to the Jr. Jacks is one that will guarantee this community will have stronger coaching, better organization and communication, and a drive to propel Muskegon youth hockey to be one of the best in the state," said Dan Israel, co-owner of the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
Included in the agreement will be a strong connection with the Lumberjacks (USHL) players and coaches, a "Big Brother program" involving Jr. Jacks and the Lumberjacks players, several in-season events and Lumberjacks game tickets for the Jr. Jacks players.
Along with this commitment, the City of Muskegon and the Lumberjacks are collaborating on the hiring of a new Hockey Director for the Jr. Jacks, which will go into effect within the next few weeks. The Director will be housed in the L.C. Walker Arena and will work closely with the Jr. Jacks coaches and parents to help develop the best young players possible. The Director will also be the conduit to the Jr. Jacks feature games at the L.C. Walker Arena, practices, and the all-new dry land training at Peak Performance for the Jr. Jacks' player development.
Mike McCall, President of the Muskegon Lumberjacks, added, "the time is now to put our full support into the Jr. Jacks organization. A new Board of Directors, a new Hockey Director, and a sincere commitment from the City of Muskegon and the Lumberjacks organization will combine to make for a great future of youth hockey in Muskegon."
