
Murray, Karsay and Feldman Combine for Perfect Game

(CORPUS CHRISTI, TX) - For the first time in Frisco history a perfect game was thrown by their pitching staff. A.J. Murray, Steve Karsay and Scott Feldman combined for the perfect game against the Hooks (17-16, 44-59) in the 3-0 win.
Murray started the game for the RoughRiders (13-21, 42-62) going six innings and striking out eight. In the seventh Karsay came in and threw two more perfect innings striking out one and Feldman came in to finish it off in the ninth.
With two down in the bottom of the ninth inning Karsay fell behind Hooks' hitter Wade Robinson with a 3-1 count. Robinson took the next pitch on the outside corner of the plate for a strike. With a full count and a perfect game on the line Robinson hit a grounder to third baseman Adam Fox who easily through it over to the first baseman Jason Hart for the perfect game. A perfect 27 Hooks' hitters up and 27 Hooks' hitters down.
The perfect game was only the third in Texas League history of nine innings or more. The last perfect game came in 1983 thrown by Dave Wilhelmi for Shreveport.
The series will continue Friday night with LHP Wilfredo Rodriguez (4-4, 3.92) for Frisco against Hooks' LHP Philip Barzilla (2-5, 3.91).
