Mooseheads Issue Statement Regarding QMJHL's Return to Play Plan

June 2, 2020 - Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) - Halifax Mooseheads News Release

Halifax, N.S. - As information surrounding the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the Halifax Mooseheads organization would like to ensure that our fans and corporate partners continue to be informed on where we stand for this upcoming season.

Today the QMJHL announced its targeted start date for a full 68-game regular season is October 1st, 2020. Although this is a positive announcement for all of us that are looking forward to getting back in the Scotiabank Centre, we fully understand that there are still a number of factors to be determined and approved by our Provincial Government and public health authorities before we can begin selling ticket packages. We are currently working closely with the QMJHL on a Return to Play protocol for the 2020-21 season in order to ensure a safe return for our players, staff and fans, that will be in compliance with public health guidelines.

We understand that you will have a number of questions and concerns regarding today's announcement as a valued Mooseheads supporter. We will continue to update you as information evolves and when we have direct procedures in place on how to proceed moving forward.

Thank you for your continued support of your Halifax Mooseheads.CONTACT:Scott MacIntoshMedia Relations & [email protected]
