Mooseheads Acquire Two 2020 Draft Picks from Rimouski for Defenceman Walter Flower

Halifax, N.S. - The Halifax Mooseheads have acquired two 2020 QMJHL draft picks from the Rimouski Oceanic in exchange for 20-year-old defenceman Walter Flower.

The Mooseheads receive a second round pick in 2020 that was originally the property of the Saint John Sea Dogs, as well as a fourth round pick in 2020 that originally belonged to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

Flower is in his fifth QMJHL season after joining the Mooseheads as a second round draft pick in 2015. The Lunenburg, NS native has 66 career points, 200 penalty minutes and has maintained a +/- rating of +31. His 235 career regular season games are the fifth most in franchise history by a defenceman.

The 6-foot-2, right-handed shooting blueliner also has extensive playoff experience with 34 career postseason games.

The QMJHL trade period opened today and runs until Monday, January 6th at Noon ET.
