Moose Sign Brine to ATO

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have signed forward David Brine (BRIGHN) to an amateur tryout contract.

Brine, 21, appeared in 70 games this season with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL. In that time, he scored 34 goals and 66 assists for 100 points to finish tops in team scoring and tied for 14th overall in the league. Brine was also named the winner of the Guy Carbonneau Trophy as the league's top defensive forward. In 11 post-season games, the Truro, NS native scored a goal and five assists for six points and 23 penalty minutes. In three years with Halifax, Brine played in 207 games, collecting 70 goals and 128 assists for 198 points and 136 penalty minutes. In 24 career playoff games with the Mooseheads, Brine scored seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points and 31 penalty minutes.
