Missions Unveil Preliminary Promotional Schedule

San Antonio - The San Antonio Missions announced today their preliminary promotional schedule for the 2019 season. The 70-game slate is highlighted by the return of the Flying Chanclas, a Kevin Fowler postgame concert, 11 fireworks nights, two bobblehead giveaways, and four jersey giveaways.

The Flying Chanclas de San Antonio will return in 2019 as part of Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversión (Fun Cup). The Missions will morph into their alter-ego for all Thursday home games as well as on Sunday, May 5 for the Cinco de Mayo celebration.

Country music artist Kevin Fowler will perform a postgame concert on Wednesday, July 3 following the Missions' series finale against the Iowa Cubs. The Texas native has placed four singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. He released his latest single, "Country Song to Sing" in January and plans on releasing new music throughout 2019.

Weekly Promotions

* Sunday Fun Day presented by Circle K. Fans can bring in a receipt from Circle K and receive four infield reserve seats for just $20. Plus a Kellogg's Kids Giveaway for the first 500 kids aged 12 and under.

* Monday Family Night at Wolff Stadium presented by H-E-B. Fans can get four box seats for only $24 at the Missions Box Office with a receipt from H-E-B.

* Every Tuesday home game is a Three Dollar Tuesday presented by AARP with $3 parking, $3 sausage wraps, $3 draft beer, and $3 tickets.

* Thursdays at The Wolff are Dollar Nights presented by Metro by T-Mobile. Every Thursday the Missions will become the Flying Chanclas de San Antonio and fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs, $1 sodas, and $1 draft beers.

* Fireworks will light up the sky following every Saturday home game.

Five Military Appreciation Nights are spread throughout the 2019 season. The Missions will sport special camouflage jerseys on those dates, which include April 10, May 8, June 12, July 17, July 31.

Three Business Person's Specials are on the schedule. April 15, May 6, and May 20 will be day games with first pitch scheduled for 11:05 a.m.

Other promotions include: Bobblehead giveaways to the first 1,500 fans on Friday, April 12 (Mama Peño presented by Metro by T-Mobile) and Friday, May 10 (Ballapeño presented by TSAOG Orthopaedics), a Flying Chanclas t-shirt giveaway to the first 1,500 fans on Friday, May 3 presented by Hug Me Ink, a Missions thermal mug giveaway to the first 1,500 fans on Friday, May 17 presented by The 54th Street Restaurant. Used Car Night is Friday, June 28 presented by Security Service Federal Credit Union. Shirt Off Their Back Night is Friday, August 23 presented by Security Service Federal Credit Union.

Four jerseys will be given away throughout the campaign to the first 2,000 fans through the gates each night courtesy of McCombs Ford West. Those include a silver and black Missions jersey, a burnt orange Missions jersey, a maroon Missions jersey, and a Brewers jersey.

Additional promotions will be announced at a later date.

Single-game tickets will be available for purchase at the Wolff Stadium box office, online at samissions.com, or by phone at 210-675-PARK beginning Monday, March 4 at 9:00 a.m.

The 118th season of baseball in San Antonio begins Thursday, April 4th, as the Missions begin their new era as a member of the Pacific Coast League and take on the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Season ticket memberships are available now by calling 210-675-PARK (7275).
