San Antonio Missions News Release

SPRINGFIELD - Lake Bachar and Miguel Diaz combined on the Missions league-leading 12th shutout of the season in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Cardinals in the series opener at Hammons Field.

Bachar (3-6) worked six innings while Diaz fanned five over his three innings in relief to record his second save.

Bachar got two big doubleplays behind him while the Cardinals also had a runner cut down at the plate trying to score.

Hudson Potts hit his first Double-A homerun while Michael Gettys slugged his 13th of the year to help lead San Antonio to only its third win in the last 14 games.

Josh Naylor returned to the lineup after missing four games with a finger contusion and drove in his 69th run of the season in the fifth inning.

San Antonio has won three of the four games in Springfield this year after the Cardinals captured five of the six at Wolff Stadium.
