Missions Hold On To Beat Arkansas 7-6

San Antonio - The Missions win their ninth home game in a row with a 7-6 victory over the Arkansas Travelers. The Missions are now 85-40 overall, the best record in professional baseball.

Casey Kelly won his 11th game of the season going five innings and giving up four hits and one earned run.

The Missions offense was sparked early scoring seven runs in the first three innings. Andy Parrino hit his second home runs in as many nights adding two RBIs to his season total. Blake Tekotte and Daniel Robertson each had RBI singles in the home half of the second. Dean Anna joined in on the action lining a two RBI double down the right field line in the bottom of the third inning, giving San Antonio a 7-2 lead.

Arkansas put four on the board in the top of the 7th inning after a sending eight batters to the plate, making the score 7-6. Nick Vincent and Miles Mikolas came out of the bullpen for the Missions, shutting down Arkansas' offense.

The Missions will face Arkansas Monday, August 22, in their final game at home before hitting the road. Missions LHP Robbie Erlin (0-0, 1.29 ERA) will take the mound facing off against Travelers LHP Andrew Taylor (2-10, 4.92 ERA). Monday is WellMed Senior Sluggers Game and the first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
