Miami FC Inks Local Standout

Miami, Florida, April 16, 2010 - Miami FC announced it has come to terms with local standout, American forward, Jair Cabas. Terms of the signing were not disclosed. The Blues will square off tomorrow against the Vancouver Whitecaps at Lockhart Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm.

"We are very excited to have Jair join the club," said Director of Soccer, Fernando Clavijo. "He is a young player with a lot of potential and a bright future. We look forward to seeing him on the pitch defending our colors."

Cabas comes to Miami FC via FIU, where he emerged as a potent goal scorer for the Golden Panthers during his collegiate career. In three seasons with FIU, Cabas scored a total of 13 goals and garnered eight assists. He also played for the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team, making two appearances and scoring one goal.

"I'm really excited to be a part of Miami FC. I am a South Florida guy and it makes sense to begin my professional career right here at home. This is a great organization and I can't wait to contribute on the field," said Jair Cabas.

Saturday's match between Miami FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps at Lockhart Stadium, kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET. Blues fans can watch this weekend's match live via online streaming at www.miamifc.com.
