ICYMI: Lucas Erceg hit a game tying two-run home run in the ninth, Isan Diaz was 3-for-4 with a game tying home run in the fourth, but Buies Creek outfielder Kyle Tucker hit a go-ahead home run in the 12th inning as the Astros outlasted the Mudcats 4-3 on Tuesday night at Five County Stadium.

ABOUT THE LAST ONE: The Mudcats hit two home runs (Isan Diaz, 4th inning & Lucas Erceg, 9th inning) last night and have now hit two home runs in in each of their last four games. The Mudcats have also hit at least one home run in each of the last five games and have nine home runs over those five. Carolina also totaled two doubles last night and has had at least one double in each of the last nine consecutive games (22 doubles in that span).

STARTING OFF: Conor Harber starts for the Mudcats in today's series finale against the Buies Creek Astros at Five County Stadium. Harber enters at 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA and has struck out 15 while walking 10 this season over 14.2 innings pitched. He's also held opponents to a .237 average against, including a .189 average against for righties.

STREAKING: Jake Gatewood is currently in a 12 game hitting streak and is batting .356/.453/.667 (16-for-45) with nine runs, five doubles, three home runs, eight walks and a 1.119 OPS during the streak. Gatewood's career best hit streak came during his first year as a pro with the AZL Brewers when he safely in 13 straight games between 7/26/14 and 8/13/14.... Isan Diaz has hit safely in 12 straight games and is batting .388/.436/.796 (19-for-49) with five doubles, five HRs, 15 RBIs and a 1.232 OPS during the streak. Diaz's career high for consecutive games with a hit is 16 and was set between 7/9 and 7/26 in 2015 when he played for the Missoula Osprey in the Arizona farm system. Diaz also had a 14 game hitting streak last season (8/1-8/14) with Wisconsin.

BREW OF THE MONTH: Jake Gatewood was named as the Milwaukee Brewers Minor League Player of the Month for April. Gatewood finished the first month of the season batting .329/.433/.573 with 19 runs, eight doubles, four home runs, nine RBIs, 15 walks and in an 10 game hitting streak. Gatewood closed the first month of the season 9th in the Carolina League in batting average (.329), 3rd in OBP (.433), 5th in SLG (.573), 2nd in OPS (1.006), 1st in runs scored (19), 4th in hits (27), tied for 2nd in extra-base hits (12), tied for 3rd in walks (15), tied for 2nd in home runs (4) and 2nd in doubles (8).

LIGHTS OUT: Freddy Peralta has totaled 35 strikeouts over 23.0 innings this season and owns a 13.7 SO/9ip Ratio over his five appearances (5 G, 2 GS). He has also held left-handed hitters to one hit and a .036 (1-for-28) average this season.

CATCH EM ALL: The Mudcats currently lead the Carolina League in caught steals (16), are tied for the fewest stolen bases allowed (16) and lead the league in caught stealing/stolen bases against efficiency (.500). Max McDowell has caught 13 of 22 would be base stealers and leads the Carolina League in caught stealing (.591). Mitch Ghelfi has caught three of seven base stealers (.300). Corbin Burnes (1 ATT), Eric Hanhold (2 ATT) and Freddy Peralta (3 ATT) have yet to allow a stolen base this season.

TWO-OUT RBIs: Troy Stokes Jr. currently has 15 RBIs this season; of his 15 RBIs, 11 have been driven in with two-outs in an inning this season... Collectively, the Mudcats have driven in 41 runs with two-outs in an inning this season.

WHERE THEY RANK: Jake Gatewood is currently 6th in the Carolina League in OBP (.421), 7th in SLG (.549), tied for 4th in OPS (.970), 2nd in runs scored (19), tied for 4th in hits (29), tied for 2nd in extra-base hits (13), tied for 3rd in walks (16), tied for 3rd in home runs (4) and tied for 2nd in doubles (9)... Isan Diaz is currently tied for 4th in the Carolina League in hits (29), tied for 4th in extra-base hits (11) and tied for 3rd in home runs (5)... Corbin Burnes is currently 3rd in the Carolina League in earned run average (1.65), tied for 5th in innings pitched (27.1 IP), 6th in strikeouts (27) and 7th in WHIP (1.06)... Luis Aviles is tied with Troy Stokes Jr. for the league lead in stolen bases (9)... Trent Clark is tied for 3rd in the league in most walks (16)... Corey Ray is currently tied for 2nd in the CL in doubles (9).

PROSPECTS GALORE: The Mudcats currently have 10 players ranked on MLB.com's list of top 30 Brewers prospects; 4 of which ranking in the Brewers top 10. The plethora of top rated Brewers prospects with Carolina include outfielder Corey Ray, infielder Isan Diaz, outfielder Trent Clark and third baseman Lucas Erceg. Ray is currently ranked as the 2nd best prospect in the Brewers system by MLB.com, followed by Diaz (5), Clark (6) and Erceg (7). Each of which are also ranked in the top 10 among Brewers prospects according to both Baseball America and Baseball Prospectus. Also ranking among MLB.com's top 30 Brewers prospects are pitchers Marcos Diplan (11), Cody Ponce (15), Kodi Medeiros (18), Freddy Peralta (19), Corbin Burnes (20) and infielder Jake Gatewood (25).
